Paramount Skydance Plans to Remove Nearly 2,000 US Jobs – Report

Paramount Skydance is scheduled to begin large-scale job cuts beginning on 27 October, eliminating nearly 2,000 US jobs within a budget-saving initiative worth $2bn led by new chief executive David Ellison.

The workforce reduction are a result of the combination of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed this past August valued at $8.4bn.

More overseas workforce reductions are likely, with Paramount Skydance intending to reveal full details during its third-quarter financial update set for the 10th of November.

Earlier reports stated the company planned to eliminate between 2,000 to 3,000 roles by early November.

As of December 2024, the organization retained nearly 18,600 full- and part-time employees and 3,500 project-based staff.

Paramount Skydance has not provided a response to a request for comment.
